Fourth of July Invitations
One of the most popular celebratory occasions of the summer is upon us, which means it's time to break out the sparklers! Polka Dot Design has the best collection of 4th of July Invitations available, and we're excited to feature a few new ones as well. What better way to show your patriotic side than by throwing a party honoring this great country? |
As soon as summer hits there's one holiday on the horizon that all of us in this beautiful country of ours looks forward to you. That holiday is the 4th July! So if you're thinking about wanting to party July 4th style, let us help you with the invites. Firecrackers, hotdogs, backyard barbecues, all of these are ways that we celebrate the birthday of our glorious independence. Hosting a July party is one of the easiest and most fun parties that we here at Polka Dot design have partaken. So when you come over to our site take a look at all of our red white and blue invitations, you'll be so inspired to set up the charcoal grill and pull out the hamburger patties to host your very own event. You can have galvanized tins full of beers, ears of corn and don't forget the Popsicles to keep the kids nice and cool. We love the idea of sending out a Star-Spangled Banner invitation, it is so classic and effortless, it brings to mind the perfect mid-morning brunch on the porch complete with mom's favorite breakfast casseroles, freshly squeezed orange juice or maybe even a Mimosa or two. Don't forget the french press coffee or some earl grey tea to kick off the weekend with ease and class. Really the only requirement is that you're willing to have two scoops of the homemade ice cream after you host your event, you deserve it. If you really want to be a great neighbor you'll invite the whole gang to a block party in honor of the 4th July. You can even make it a potluck where everyone brings their favorite dish, makes things easier for you and it's always fun to try your neighbors best dish. I love making homemade potato salad with loads of celery and just the right amount of fresh, homemade mayo and our family favorite is roasted corn on the cob with repurposed coffee can buckets of melted butter to dip into. You can have pitchers of lemonade with sprigs of freshly ground mint and crushed ice cubes filled with lemon slices to set the picture perfect scene. If you're looking for some cute centerpiece ideas, check out our blog! You can wrap at tin cans in cute gingham napkins with a bow out of raffia and fill it with freshly picked wildflowers, add a lemon that's been pierced with a skewer to the centerpiece for a pop of surprising color. Don't forget to buy the red roses and that blue lilac and the white mums to complete the red white and blue colors scheme. We really are the most fortunate country on this beautiful earth of hours. So take some time to celebrate with your loved ones not only to honor this day but to honor each other. Firecracker, firecracker boom, boom, boom! It's time to have a party and we want to invite you! |
